St. Augustine once said, "When you sing, you pray twice." Music Ministry is an essential part of the celebration of Sunday Mass. Leading the people (cantoring) in the singing of praises to almighty God is key. If you believe that you can assist in leading the people in song, then you are called to become a cantor. ADULT CHOIRThis choir will sing one Sunday and one Saturday Mass each month, as well as all major feast days in the Liturgical Year. The Adult Choir specializes in traditional liturgical music and welcomes singers, ages high school through adult. |

instrumental musiciansAnyone who plays a musical instrument competently is invited to share their talents with the parish community. The Parish Music Director would be interested to meet and talk with you about your talent and where it can best be utilized. |

REQUIEM CHOIRThis choir consists of parish adults who would like to volunteer their time to sing at funerals and the annual All Souls Mass of Remembrance. There are no official practices for funerals but the choir will rehearse several times leading up to the Mass of of Remembrance. |

celebration chorusThe Celebration Chorus comprises of music talent from all groups and additional volunteers. This ministry also features a small orchestra. This group provides music for all major liturgies, namely Christmas, Easter, and the St. Vincent de Paul Parish Feast Day. |

CANTORThe cantors serve as leaders of the responsorial psalm, the gospel acclamation, and any other music that requires a leading voice. A cantor must possess a clear and accurate voice and a positive appearance. A cantor is much like a lector only the cantor ministers the sung word of God. |

TRI-PARISH FESTIVAL CHORUSThe Tri-Parish Festival Chorus is a collaborative music ministry bringing together singers and instrumentalists from Our Lady of Angels Catholic Parish, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, and St. Patrick Parish. The ensemble provides music for special liturgies and concerts throughout the year, including: Tenebrae, Confirmations, Advent Lessons and Carols, and Christmas celebrations, while fostering fellowship and sacred music collaboration among the three parishes. |
